Photorejuvenation/Pigment
I am interested in reducing
What is photorejuvenation?
Photorejuvenation is the improvement of colors, pigment and skin
texture using light sources including lasers and IPL. These devices
can be used to effectively remove brown spots from the skin in many
situations thus improving the cosmetic appearance of your skin.
How does this procedure even out my skin pigment?
By targeting melanin (skin pigmentation), it can be effectively vaporized
with minimal downtime. Typically, results can be seen in 1-3 treatments.
Does it hurt?
Discomfort is mild. In fact, many of our patients don’t require
numbing creams to be applied prior to treatment, which is a testament
to the advanced equipment and techniques used and is a claim many of
our competitors cannot make.
Why should I get my treatments from Dr. Weisberg?
Although the treatments
are generally considered safe, powerful lasers and IPL devices are not
toys and significant side effects can be more likely to occur in untrained
operators.
It is important to know the qualifications and Board Certification of your physician prior to your treatment. Please research the Board Certification of your laser provider by visiting the Texas Medical Board website at www.tmb.state.tx.us/
Dr. Weisberg is a board-certified dermatologist with many years of formal University based training in cosmetic treatments including the usage of lasers. Training of operators at other businesses may vary widely from a few hours of non-formal, non-University based training to a few weeks.
Know who is treating you. Buyer beware!
