What is Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport®?
Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® are both simple, non-surgical, physician administered treatments that can smooth lines and wrinkles.  The treatment can be administered safely and effectively by Dr. Weisberg during your consultation.  Typically within hours to days, there is a noticeable improvement, which can last up to 4 months.

How do Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® work?
Our facial features are designed to be expressive and show emotion.  If you are angry or annoyed, for example, you may lower your brows and frown.  Underneath your skin, your facial muscles contract, causing a groove or line.  After years of making this same movement, these lines become more pronounced, even exaggerated and sometimes permanent.

Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® work by relaxing the muscles that cause persistent lines to develop over time.

What should I expect during my consultation?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment to fill out any paperwork.  Our staff will walk you through the simple process while you listen to soothing music in our warm and welcoming environment.

Dr. Weisberg and his staff will answer any of your questions and determine if you are a candidate for Botox® Cosmetic or Dysport®.  Sometimes, another procedure may benefit you and Dr. Weisberg will make sure your treatment plan is customized accordingly.

While you rest in our comfortable chairs, Dr. Weisberg will administer your Botox® Cosmetic or Dysport® to the appropriate facial muscles.  Special care is taken to maximize improvements while minimizing risks.

No recovery time is typically needed.  Most patients only experience transient redness after the treatment, which typically resolves within minutes to hours.

When will I see results?
Within days, you may notice an improvement in the treated areas that can last for months.  As with any cosmetic procedure, results may vary.

Dr. Weisberg is a board-certified dermatologist with many years of formal University based training in cosmetic treatments including the usage of Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport®.  Training of injectors at other businesses may vary widely from a few hours of non-formal, non-University based training to a few weeks.

Should I use Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport® or fillers?
That depends.  During your consultation with Dr. Weisberg, the options will be reviewed.  You may be a better candidate for one treatment or the other.  Often, patients will benefit from combining more than one method.
